ABOUT ME

Hi, there!

My name is Dominique.

Here are a couple highlights to get to a picture of who I am:

|Wife and mama to 2 girls and a dog|

|Elementary school teacher|

|Mindfulness instructor for kids|

|Breathwork and Sound Healer|

|Human Design Reader (In training)|

I am currently on leave from my teaching career to be at home with my two girls.

A decision I did not take lightly. I poured my heart, love, and energy into my teaching career for over 10 years.

After my second daughter it no longer felt in alignment for me to continue.

It was a scary decision to shut the door on a career that felt very much engrained in my identity. I am so glad I trusted my gut and did not let fear of the unknown cloud my decision.

It has been an incredible awakening of sorts for me.

Not having my creative outlet of teaching, I explored different modes of creativity as well as dove deep into healing practices like EMDR, breathwork, sound healing, kundalini yoga, and reiki.

Losing my “teacher” identity set me on a path of exploring my actual identity and propelled me on a journey of self discovery.

I have always LOVED deep diving into topics and learning(hence the career choice). So with my brain less occupied with the responsibilities of teaching I dove deep into self awareness and healing modalities.

I have loved getting to know myself better and learning to show up more as my true authentic self.

I was introduced to Human Design somewhere along my self discovery journey. And began to experiment with my unique design. For fellow HD lovers , I am a 5/1 sacral generator.

I followed my intuition to take a transformative certification in Breathwork and Sound Healing.

And I am currently in a Human Design Reader Training program. And will start to offer readings soon!

This blog was born out of my desire to create, write, heal my story, and help others along the way.
